The price of an Air Greenland flight is made up of a combination of elements such as the cost of the flight itself, taxes and surcharges. Some surcharges are imposed by Air Greenland, whilst credit card charges, fuel surcharges and airport taxes are completely outside Air Greenland’s influence although they are included in the total price.
On certain flights, airport taxes are actually higher than the cost of flying the actual stretch. Take this into consideration, if you think flying is expensive.

In general: Air Greenland does not charge fees, taxes or surcharges for infants under the age of two.

Fuel surcharge:
From March 11th 2011 the fuel surcharge on the routes between Copenhagen - Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen - Narsarsuaq is on DKK 303.00.

| Note: | Airport taxes are set by Mittarfeqarfiit/Greenland’s Civil Aviation Authority, a Greenland Self-Government institution. The tax is a supplement to the operating costs of airports and heliports and it varies widely, depending on the destination. For a return flight between Greenland and Copenhagen, the external costs amount to about DKK 800.00 – a significant part of the price of the trip. |
